Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms set out what you and we each owe the other when you use the CrossLion multi-account ads management platform, our ad account resources, and our managed media buying services.

1.About these terms

These terms cover every service CrossLion ("we") provides, including the multi-account ads management platform, ad account and Business Manager (BM) resources, and managed media buying.

By registering a platform account, completing authorization through Facebook, or using our services in any other way, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. If you disagree with any part of them, stop using the services.

If you use the services on behalf of a company or a team, you confirm that the organization has authorized you to do so, and these terms bind that organization as well.

2.What we provide

We currently offer three types of service. You can use any one of them on its own or combine them:

  • Multi-account ads management platform — we connect to the Business Managers and ad accounts you authorize through Meta's official Marketing API, so you can create and manage campaigns, ad sets, and ads, upload creatives, and review performance data from a single dashboard.
  • Ad account and BM resources — we assist with account provisioning and supply based on your vertical and target regions, and follow up when an account runs into problems.
  • Managed media buying — our media buying team takes over execution based on your product, target markets, and budget.

Specific features change as the platform evolves. If we need to retire a feature that is already live, we will notify the users who rely on it in advance.

3.Platform accounts

We create platform accounts for you. There are two roles: admin and staff. Admins can manage member accounts and view audit logs; staff can only perform ad operations.

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you notice anything unusual, immediately revoke the suspicious device in the dashboard and contact us.

To keep accounts secure and team activity traceable, the platform records sign-in times, source IP addresses, device information, and an audit log of every write operation. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is recorded.

4.Facebook authorization

The platform connects to your advertising assets through Meta's official authorization flow. We will never ask you for your Facebook password, and we will never sign in to your account through any unofficial means.

When you complete authorization, you grant our app the following permissions, each with a specific purpose:

  • ads_management — create and manage campaigns, ad sets, and ads on your behalf
  • ads_read — read performance data and reports
  • business_management — read basic information about the Business Managers under your control and the ad accounts within them
  • pages_show_list — list the Pages you have access to
  • pages_read_engagement — read basic Page information so you can choose which Page an ad runs under
  • pages_manage_ads — create ads and dark posts as the Page

We use these permissions only as far as delivering the service requires, and never for anything unrelated to running your ads.

You can remove this app's authorization at any time on Facebook under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations. Once you do, the platform can no longer manage your advertising assets. Ads that are already running continue on Meta's side with their existing settings, and you will need to adjust them yourself in Meta's own tools.

5.Acceptable use

When you use our services, you must comply with Meta's advertising policies and business tools terms, as well as the laws and regulations of the regions you advertise in. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Advertising products, services, or content banned by law or by Meta's advertising policies
  • Using false information, impersonating someone else, or using someone else's creatives to open accounts or run ads
  • Circumventing Meta's ad review systems in any way
  • Transferring, renting out, or sharing your platform account with others
  • Reverse engineering, bulk scraping, stress testing, or otherwise interfering with the normal operation of the platform
  • Using the platform for money laundering, fraud, or any other unlawful activity

Any account ban, financial loss, or legal liability resulting from a breach of these rules is yours to bear. We may suspend or terminate the affected services when we identify a violation, and we reserve the right to report it to the competent authorities as the law requires.

6.Ad accounts and BM resources

Whether an ad account or Business Manager is opened, stays open, and can be used is ultimately Meta's decision under Meta's policies. What we provide is help with account provisioning, resource matching, and after-sales follow-up; we cannot make any commitment on Meta's behalf.

Accounts can be restricted or banned because of ad content, account behavior, or changes to Meta's policies. That risk is real: keep backup accounts available and limit how much money is exposed in any single account.

Specific account types, delivery timelines, and after-sales scope are governed by the commercial agreement the two sides confirm separately.

7.Managed media buying

The scope, campaign objectives, and payment terms of managed media buying are governed by the commercial agreement the two sides sign or confirm separately. These terms cover only the general points.

You must supply product information, ad creatives, and landing pages that are accurate, lawful, and yours to use, and you are responsible for their compliance. We will suggest adjustments based on our experience, but we take no responsibility for defects in the rights to the creatives themselves.

Ad results depend on your product, the market, the competitive landscape, and platform algorithms. Unless a commercial agreement contains an explicit written commitment, we do not guarantee any particular result.

8.Fees and payment

Platform fees, account resource fees, and managed media buying fees — including rates, billing cycles, and invoicing — are governed by the commercial agreement or quote the two sides confirm separately, and are not published on this page.

Ad spend itself is settled directly between you and Meta, or handled through the top-up process set out in your commercial agreement.

9.Service availability and limitation of liability

The platform's core capabilities depend on Meta's Marketing API. When Meta changes its APIs, applies rate limits, has an outage, or adjusts its policies, some platform features may be affected. Those situations are outside our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned maintenance will be scheduled during off-peak hours where possible and announced in advance.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data, or losses caused by the actions of third parties, including Meta.

10.Intellectual property

The platform's software, interface, documentation, and brand assets belong to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or build derivative works from them without written permission.

The ad creatives, product information, and business data you upload belong to you. So that we can deliver the service, you authorize us to store and process this content as needed and to submit it through Meta's official APIs for ad delivery.

11.Changes, termination, and contact

We may update these terms as our business and the applicable regulations change. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and we will give separate notice of significant changes. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

You can stop using the services at any time and request deletion of your data using the steps in our Data Deletion Instructions.

If you seriously breach these terms, or if the way you use the services creates legal risk for us or for other users, we may suspend or terminate the services after notifying you.

If you have any questions about these terms, contact us through the channels listed in the footer.
